Orders 96 million euro for technology in luxury yachts and cruise ships 28 January, 2008

Gouda - Imtech (technical services provider in Europe) announces that it recently from various ship owners and shipyards in the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, USA and the United Arab Emirates has received orders for technological solutions on board various yachts and cruise ships. These contracts represent a total value of over 96 million euros. Imtech sees continued growth in the market for luxury yachts and cruise ships. Imtech is one of the strongest players in this segment. From various maritime competence centers of Imtech in Europe, USA and Far East is the market worked. The innovative Imtech service includes integrated and automated ship bridges, propulsion & drive, alarm & monitoring, navigation & communication, IT networks on board, electronics, air and climate applications, fire protection and full security. It focuses on sustainability and energy conservation front. Recently obtained orders for luxury (mega) yachts with a length of about 30 meters to 85 meters from the Dutch Feadship yard in Aalsmeer and Makkum, German Nobiskrug shipyard in Rendsburg, the Russian Moscow Shipyard yard and Delta Navy yard in Seattle USA . It also received a special mandate for the luxury giga yacht Swift 141. This is the former 'Hr. Ms. Piet Heyn ', a Dutch frigate with a length of 130 meters from the S-Class in the period 1997-1998 by the Dutch navy is sold to the navy of the United Arab Emirates and was renamed' F02 Al Emerat. " Recently decided to build this ship to an extremely luxurious giga yacht of 141 meters, where Imtech is responsible for the complete automation, energy-efficient propulsion, navigation and communication on board and the full range of electrical solutions. Imtech also recently received the contract to provide technological solutions for three new cruise ships being built at the German shipyard Meyer (Meyer Werft) in Papenburg. There are three luxury cruise ships with a length between 314 meters (a ship) and 340 meters (two vessels), respectively, with nearly 1,400 booths for up to 2800 passengers and more than 1,250 larger cabins for up to 2500 passengers. Peace Imtech ships with modern, energy-efficient solutions in the field of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and also largely engineering them. With the Imtech solutions meet the ships to the highest comfort requirements for the quality of clean air, individually per cabin to get right. The yachts will be delivered in the period 2008-2010 and the cruise ships in the period 2009-2010.
